The symposium, hosted by the Institute of Agro-food Research and Technology (IRTA), was held in Amposta (Tarragona)
Crop-Scan™, the plant stress Tele-detection service, was met with great interest

Bioiberica’s Plant Physiology Division was a presenter at the “Teledetection in Agriculture” symposium, hosted by the IRTA at Amposta the past 10th of March.

Several specialists gave presentations (followed by a question and answer session) to the attendees about the latest technologies and the many agricultural uses for them, which grow in number every day. For example, one of the goals of these new technologies is the optimization of inputs and the subsequent reduction of environmental impact, thus offering added value to the final consumer.

Bioiberica presented Crop-Scan™, the plant stress diagnosis service. This service is based upon air images obtained through thermal and multi-spectrum cameras installed in manned aircraft. The images are analyzed according to four parameters: temperature, chlorophyll content, productivity and stress. Within 24-72 hours, this allows us to devise precise, efficient actions with which to improve the quantity and quality of the crop, overcoming any stress situations.
