This past week, Bioiberica presented the beneficial effects of their product Armurox on rice crops to more than 100 people in Managua, Nicaragua.

Nicaragua is a country with a large amount of land dedicated to the cultivation of rice: approximately 77,000 hectares (35,000 dryland farming, 42,000 irrigated) with two crops yearly.

The presentation was organized by the Nicaragua distributor for the Bioiberica products. The UPL firm was also at this event to present their herbicide for this crop.

During the event there were presented several field trials using ARMUROX that were carried out in several different countries in that region (Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Mexico), as well as the testimonials of Nicaraguan producers who had used this product with success during the past season.

The use of ARMUROX for rice has the following main beneficial effects:

  • Reduces lodging of rice crops
  • Increases yield
  • Improves grain quality
  • Protects rice plants from pests and diseases, reducing the need for chemical treatments
  • Reduces stress (drought, phytotoxicity caused mostly by herbicides, etc.)

Thanks to this event, Nicaraguan rice producers know that they have at their disposal an efficient, profitable tool to produce more and better rice.
