Microbial biostimulation: efficacy and persistence in the rhizosphere
Agriculture is facing one of the greatest challenges in its recent history: producing sufficient food for a growing population, reducing environmental impact and maintaining farm profitability in an increasingly uncertain climate context. Within this agricultural shift towards more sustainable systems, the search for viable alternatives to synthetic chemical inputs has gained prominence. Accordingly, solutions based on beneficial microorganisms are emerging as key allies to improve both crop productivity and resilience. A notable example is Terra-Sorb radicular SymBiotic®, a microbial biostimulant containing L‑α‑amino acids of high biological value, the strain Bacillus velezensis PH 023 CECT 30677 and its fermentation metabolites. The PH 023 strain is capable of fixing atmospheric nitrogen, solubilising phosphorus and producing compounds that enhance iron acquisition (siderophores), as well as phytohormones. In addition, the strain is produced using Priming Tech™ technology (patent pending), which enhances its adaptability to field conditions and promotes the production of metabolites with high agronomic value.
