One of the main challenges in pistachio cultivation, as with other crops such as olive groves, is the marked alternation of production, especially under dryland conditions or on plots with limited water and nutrient availability. The biostimulant Equilibrium® has proven effective in other crops by promoting bud retention and fruit set. This four-year study evaluated the impact of foliar treatments with Equilibrium® on reducing bud drop in annual growth when these compete with bunches. The results show a significant increase in the percentage of viable buds, as well as improvements in production and quality parameters in treated pistachio trees, which contributes to ensuring the profitability and sustainability of the crop.
