Bioiberica Plant Health Showcases Its Biological Attractants Range at ABIM 2025

Basel (Switzerland), 20 October 2025 — Bioiberica Plant Health is taking part in ABIM 2025, the leading international congress for biocontrol, held from 20 to 22 October in Basel, Switzerland.

Throughout the event, our team is showcasing Bioiberica’s innovative range of biological attractants — including Cera Trap®, Suzukii Trap®, Dacus Trap® and Flyral® — designed to provide sustainable, selective and highly effective pest-management solutions for fruit crops worldwide.

Connecting Science and Sustainability at ABIM

The Annual Biocontrol Industry Meeting (ABIM) celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, alongside 30 years of IBMA (International Biocontrol Manufacturers Association). The congress brings together over 2,000 delegates from more than 60 countries, as well as 150+ exhibitors, making it one of the most important gatherings for the global biocontrol community.

For Bioiberica Plant Health, ABIM represents the perfect opportunity to connect with professionals from across the industry, share expertise and highlight our contribution to a more sustainable model of pest control through biological innovation.

Spotlight on Our Biological Attractants

Our biological attractants are formulated using naturally derived hydrolysed proteins, offering environmentally friendly alternatives to conventional control methods. Each product is specifically developed to target major fruit-fly pests such as Ceratitis capitata, Drosophila suzukii, Bactrocera spp. and Anastrepha spp.

  • Cera Trap® attracts Ceratitis capitata (Mediterranean fruit fly) using volatile compounds such as amines and organic acids that are especially effective in capturing females.
  • Suzukii Trap® Max Captures provides an ecological solution against Drosophila suzukii, with no insecticide required in its composition or use.
  • Dacus Trap® targets Bactrocera oleae (olive fly) with an all-in-one attractant and trap system, ready for immediate field application.
  • Flyral® is a protein-based bait that can be mixed with authorised insecticides, enhancing efficiency while reducing chemical doses.

Together, these solutions reflect our commitment to sustainable agriculture, minimising environmental impact and supporting growers in their transition towards more ecological production systems.
