Sulphur (S) is a vital macronutrient ranking just after NPK. It plays a key role for protein synthesis, chlorophyll production, and photosynthesis, contributing to the production of starchers, sugars, oils, fats and vitamins. Additionally, Sulphur is essential for enzyme activation and formation of root nodules in legumes. The combination of Sulphur with micronutrients and L-α-amino acids makes the nutrients more bioavailable contributing to a stress relief, and to higher yields. Recent field trials across Europe – in Romania, Hungary, and Italy - have shown that a Terra-Sorb® granum (TSG) biostimulant containing available Sulphur, L-α-amino acids, zinc, boron and molybdenum significantly enhances soybean yields.
