Terra-Sorb®

6th International Table grape Symposium

July 2010
Scientific Communications | Terra-Sorb®

Terra-Sorb® is a commercial product based on a mixture of all biologically active L-amino acids which proceed from enzymatic hydrolysis for agriculture use by foliar application (Bioiberica, 2009). Spain is one of the main table grape producers in Europe with excellent cultivars seeded and seedless. Among these, ‘Crimson’ and ‘Autumn Royal’ are within the most cultivated and exported.Although application of amino acids has been evaluated in some crops, there is no scientific informa...

A DIGE proteomic analysis of wheat flag leave treated with Terra-Sorb foliar, a free amino acid-based biostimulator

February 2010
Scientific articles | Terra-Sorb®

The flag leaf is the most important source of carbohydrate during wheat kernel filling. Around a 75% of all sugars stored in the kernel come from carbon fixed by this leaf. Previous studies have shown that application of Terra-Sorb ® foliar, an L-α-amino acid-based product from enzymatic hydrolysis with a high ratio of free-to-total amino acids, increases plant photosynthetic activity and chlorophyll content, promotes rapid recovery from stress and improves fruit set. In this work,...

Growth acceleration of Orlando; Tangelo (Citrus reticulata x Citrus paradisi) in Nurseries With a Commercial Extract of Kelp (Ascophyllum nodosum), a Commercial Amino Acid Mixture, and a Commercial N-Zn-B Fertilizer

August 2008
Posters | Terra-Sorb®

Nursery experiments were carried out in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, to determine the effect of increasing rates of a kelp extract (StimplexTM), a commercial formulation of amino acids (Macro-Sorb RadicularTM) and a fertilizer (PhotogroTM = 2% N, 0.9% Zn and 0.9% B) on the in-nursery growth of ‘Orlando’ tangelo budded on ‘Cleopatra’ rootstock. Every two weeks, Stimplex and Macro-Sorb were applied to the soil and PhotogroTM was sprayed on the tangelo canopy. Untreated plants reached the ad...
